Alabama RB Jam Miller expected back to face Georgia

Alabama running back Jam Miller is expected to return from a dislocated collarbone in time for the Sept. 27 SEC showdown at Georgia.Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer provided the update on Friday for Miller, who was injured during a scrimmage last Saturday.Miller will sit out No. 8 Alabama’s season opener at Florida State on Aug. 30 and is doubtful for home dates with Louisiana-Monroe (Sept. 6) and Wisconsin (Sept. 13). The Tide will have a bye week before visiting the No. 5 Bulldogs for their SEC opener.”He’s a leader for us, a quiet leader, but somebody the players all respect,” DeBoer said of Miller, per ESPN. “Having that bye week, I feel good that he will be back out there. He does so many things for us at that position.”A 5-foot-10, 221-pound senior, Miller led Alabama running backs with 668 rushing yards last season. He added 16 catches for 155 yards and finished with eight touchdowns (seven rushing, one receiving).
