NFL to announce international games, select others prior to schedule release

The NFL announced Thursday that its six broadcast partners each will announce select games of the 2025 league schedule next week.

NBC will take to “The Today Show” on Monday to announce a games on the network. FOX and Prime Video also will announce a few games on that day, while ESPN will do the same on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Tuesday.

CBS and Netflix will follow suit on Wednesday, ahead of the full schedule that will be unveiled at 8 p.m. ET.

In addition, the league announced that the designated visiting teams for the international games will be revealed on NFL Network on Tuesday.

The home teams for international games already have been revealed, with the Los Angeles Chargers playing in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in Week 1.

The NFL’s first regular-season game in Brazil was played at the same venue last season between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers. The site was used during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympic Games, and the league felt it was important to return to the home of what the NFL said is its second-largest international fan base after Mexico.

Other home teams for international games: The Indianapolis Colts will play in Berlin, Germany, the Miami Dolphins in Madrid, Spain, the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin, Ireland, and the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets in London.
