Carpenter

A carpenter is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting decks and fences

Job Responsibilities

  • Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements
  • Taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed.
  • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
  • Build scaffolding and other construction structures

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as carpenter
  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, drills etc.)
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings
  • Always follow safety guidelines
  • Good understanding of basic math
  • Good physical condition and endurance
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Construction Laborer

An experienced and responsible construction laborer takes pride in working alongside other respected construction laborers to provide top-quality construction services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and other tools as directed by management.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.
  • Shovel materials to and from construction areas
  • Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
  • Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
  • Report incidents immediately to the safety director, foreman or HR in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.

Job Skills & Qualifications

*REQUIRED*

  • Valid driveru2019s license
  • One or more years of experience in construction
  • Ability to travel out of town during the week or on weekends
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment
  • Excellent stamina

*Preferred*

  • High school diploma or equivalent
